Just a week ago, Kaylee was in Calgary, Canada driving the Rush SR. Now, she is in Wisconsin on another amazing and well-known circuit. She had practiced on her racing simulator, so she wouldn't be completely blind, but she still needed to adapt.

First Time on Track
Just as Kaylee had driven it on the sim, it was an amazing circuit. She was definitely thankful she spent as much time as she did on her simulator, because she would only have two practices before qualifying, and racing! In the first practice she was P12, and P5, out of 43 drivers, knowing she has more in her.
Qualifying and Racing: The First Day
Qualifying finally came around. She qualified P10 out of 43 drivers, just a few tenths short.
The first race came around. Kaylee slips through the first right hand turns by quickly getting to the inside, to avoid trying to go around the outside. In turn 5, a tight left-hand turn, there's a crash. Thankfully, Kaylee just avoids it, by pulling to the right-hand side of it. In the Rush SR. cars, the optimal lap time is around 2 minutes and 27 seconds, only allowing us to get 6-7 lap races. Unfortunately, the crash took longer then expected to clean up, and the participants were left with one lap left to race under green. Kaylee maintained her position and finished P7 for the first race.
An hour later, the second race comes around. She finishes P9, with minimal excitement.
A Hard Second Day
For the final day of the weekend, there would be practice, qualifying, a heat race, and a final. Kaylee finishes P7/43 in practice, a good start to the day. Unfortunately, during qualifying, we discovered a mechanical failure. The system read the clutch being left on. Because of this, the car would climb in gears so slow that she was one minute off in lap times. This resulted in her qualifying last.
When the first race of the day came around, Kaylee had an amazing start (thanks to radio). Her instructor alerted her when the flagman let out the green, allowing her to pass ten to twelve cars on the opening lap. Unluckily, on the second lap, Kaylee was involved in an unavoidable incident in a very fast corner. While she was third in a train of three, the one leading slammed on the brakes in a full speed right-hand kink. The second car inline, spun. Because Kaylee was so close, she immediately moved her hands to the left to avoid hitting the driver, but throwing her onto the grass. She brushed the tire wall, and the rear tires gripped, sending her across the track into the right side concrete wall. Gutted, but unharmed, Kaylee's race weekend came to an end at one of the most brilliant tracks she has ever been on.
